It May Feel Like Christmas In Blog World...

But not in my real life.

We're a week into December and though I've been posting gift guides and talking about Christmas and holidays here on the blog, my real life is a little less "Merry".  We have yet to get a tree and I haven't even gotten my whole Christmas shopping list together.  I ordered a few items, but still have a lonnnnnggggg way to go.

All the other houses on our street are decorated with lights, inflatables, and all the other kinds of Christmas decor.  And our house has...not a damn thing.  No wreath, no lights, nada.

Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas.  Our whole family does.  But this year, we're all just a little sluggish.  Even the kids aren't as overly excited as they should be.  I don't know why that is, but this weekend I'm gonna try to pull the Christmas spirit out of the blog world and into my real world.

Here's a little Christmas link love to set the mood:

Oh, and I'm trying this DIY Body Wrap thing right now (as in, I'm wearing it as I type), so if it goes well, maybe I'll do a post on it?  Yay or nay?

  2. My house looks non-christmasy at all. We're in the middle of packing up our house for a move so there's boxes everywhere. Hopefully this will be the only year we don't decorate for christmas coz it just seems so wrong not to have a christmas tree set up. It almost feels like it should be illegal :)

  3. My house isn't decorated either. I'm hoping to get it all done this weekend as well. If the body wrap goes well of course you have to post on it! :)

  4. I'm sending some of my Christmas spirit your way! My house isn't decorated and we haven't bought gifts either. In fact, we're not giving gifts and instead are donating to a local charity.

It really helps to bring down the stress and increase the Christmas spirit when we're not worried about decorations and gifts- just finding ways to bless others and spend quality time together.

Of course, it's easier when my son has no idea what's going on so he's not really missing his presents anyway =)

    Have a great day!

  5. I am in the same spot as you but have a little charlie brown christmas tree and its a fake one to boot...lol. The only thing that reminds me that its Christmas time again, is when my credit card and bank account is hurtin more than usual. :). Thats why i stopped blogging. Bloggers make me want to have things that I really dont need but i get it because it looks good or im green eyed monster with envy and "i just have to have it".:). love you twin and ill be back blogging maybe beginning of the new year!
