Transitioning Into Spring with Rosegal

Sweater & Belt:  Borrowed from sis [similar]  //  Skirt:  c/o Rosegal [$12.10 here]  //  Shoes:  Bought locally at SM  //  Bag:  Guess [gifted]

Hallelujah, the rain has stopped!  It has been a dreary two weeks here on Guam due to the heavy rain and dark grey skies.  I know I shouldn't be complaining because I know some of you are dealing with extremely heavy snow, but still - a whole two weeks of rain is not fun.  My wardrobe has consisted mainly of heavy jeans and thick leggings lately so when I saw the sun shining through my window this morning, I was thrilled to finally get a chance to wear this skirt again!

I'm usually always late on trends because it takes me a while to decide whether I like them or not.  I had been going back and forth on the skater skirt trend, but when I was contacted by Rosegal to do a product review, I figured that it was as good a time as any to get my hands on a skater skirt.

First off, Ho.Lee.Crap.  When I first hopped over to their website, I was AMAZED at the huge selection, variety of styles, and LOW prices.  If you know me, you'd know that I'm a sucker for a good bargain and the prices at Rosegal are the shit.  I mean, hello!  Dresses for less than $20?  Skirts for less than $15?  Yes, please!!

Okay, now the skirt.  The skirt.  THE skirt.  I.  Fucking.  Love.  It.  I have gotten SO MANY compliments on this skirt already and I've only worn it twice so far.  The material is a little thicker and heavier than some other skirts I've seen but it helps to keep the skirt from flying up and exposing my lady bits so I really appreciate that.  The outside of the skirt has a crinkle-like texture to it while the inside is soft and smooth.  Another great thing I love about this is that it is super stretchy.  Kinda like a spandex/lycra stretch, which is great when you have little ones tugging on your skirt all the time - no rips or tears here!

This skirt has quickly become one of my favorite items in my closet and I'm not letting this go any time soon.  So for those people who have already asked - no, you may NOT borrow it.  You can bet your ass you'll be seeing this skirt again around here - I mean c'mon, it's a staple item!  I've already planned weeks of outfits around this skirt.  You have been warned.

Oh, and just for fun, here's my high and low today:

High:  My sister is here!  Stoked that I'll have her around for at least a few days - though my dad told me to keep her here for a few months.  She's also the one who took these outfit photos today.

Low:  I have to work on Sunday.  What.  The.  Fuck.  Seriously.  We were planning on having a family brunch on Sunday but I guess I'll have to miss out if I have to stay long.  Cross your fingers for me that I'll be done in an hour - tops!

P.S.  I had a photo of me twirling, but decided not to post it because I look like a dumbass.

  2. I'm so jealous of your spring weather. It's still polar vortex-ing in Canada. And the cutout sweater is so adorable!

  9. I'm always the last one on the trendy train too. When I finally come around I'm not sure if it's cause I genuinely like something, if I have no other options or if I've just been beaten into submission by that point :) I could not get on board with the high/low skirts though. Love this entire outfit... worth buying into the trend!
