#icant + #iknowican

Yesterday was crap.  The weather sucked.  My mood sucked.  Even the orange chicken we ordered for dinner sucked.  The power went out which screwed up our A/C unit so now we've got to figure out if we can repair it or if we just have to replace it.  Holy $hit - that's gonna cost us.

There were a few positive things yesterday though:  finished reading Soysauce for Beginners last night, cleaned the kitchen up a bit, and pumped out an awesome photo-filled post about our "family weekend".  With the weather so gloomy, I'm hoping that we'll still be able to have fun this weekend so lets kick it off with our confessions and goals...

#icant believe I missed a workout.  I just re-started my fitness program and ended up not working out yesterday because I was feeling like shit and then the power went out.  Twice.  For an hour.  Each.  I had planned to make it up in the morning - but couldn't get myself to wake up for that either.

#icant seem to get around to painting the living room!  It's been weeks since I first mentioned it and it still hasn't been done.  This crappy rainy/overcast weather has been forcing us to hold off on our painting plans because of the moisture and humidity.

#icant bring myself to clean my own room.  I know its weird, but I have no problem straightening up the living room, cleaning the kitchen, over-hauling the girls' room, and scrubbing the bathroom (on a good day).  For some reason though, when it comes to my own room, I can never fully clean it.  Maybe because my bed is too comfortable??

#icant understand my constant anxiety this week.  I literally cried the other day.  At my desk.  For no obvious reason.  Like a weirdo.  I was just feeling overwhelmed with everything at the time, and now that I think back on it, I don't even know what I was overwhelmed about.

#icant believe it's Friday already.  March just crept up on me and I'm sooooo not ready for it.  Shit.

#iknowican get a head start on spring cleaning by tackling the bathroom and the entire kitchen this weekend.  That means giving the floors a good long scrubbing, compliments of the kids.  They're still young enough to think that slipping and sliding all over the floor with rags and scrub brushes is all for fun - gotta take advantage of it while I can!!

#iknowican clean out and re-stock our fridge.  We've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to go grocery shopping in a while.  I don't even know what we have in there anymore since we've been eating and ordering out all week.  Damn you, fast food!

#iknowican get some good photos this weekend again since I'm planning on taking the kids to the library in Hagatna tomorrow for their annual celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday.  This will be our first year attending (assuming we go) so I'm excited to see what activities they have in store for everyone.

#iknowican add to my art/photo wall.  The girls got awards from school for last quarter that have been patiently waiting for their time to shine.  This is their weekend to get framed!

#iknowican put together my "Would You Rather..." post.  Keena tagged me in her post and I'm so excited to start!  It's been a while since I've done a tag post and even longer since I've recorded a video - hopefully it's not awkward...

  1. Good luck! I know I've been super lazy about cleaning my room, and my bathroom. Hoping I get some stuff done this weekend as well! :)

  3. I clean my whole apartment, but always leave my bedroom too. I think because it the last room in the house and I get lazy. Hope you have a great weekend!

  4. I had a meltdown too! Although I do know it was because of the wedding planning stress and getting loaded with projects at work. It seems never-ending! Wine always helps at the end of the day. :)

  5. Oy, you seriously have to be in the mood for house stuff. I have pictures framed and ready to hang and they've been collecting dust for about a year now. Whoops. I have no words of wisdom in the motivation department :) But I will offer free babysitting if your little mops wants to come over here and go at my floors :P
