#icant + #iknowican

#icant get over how quickly this month is going by.  I still haven't printed out my June calendar yet and I haven't even opened my blog planner all month.  This is the reason for all the chaos lately.  I've got to get shit back in order!

#icant budget.  If I had a dollar for every time I said "I need to start saving money" or "budget" I probably wouldn't need to save any more money.  Seriously.  I need help.

#icant believe how much of a blog douche I've been lately.  I'm sorry if I haven't been frequenting everyone's blogs lately, things are just bananas right now.  This work week has been especially crazy.  I promise I'll be catching up on my blog reading this weekend though.

#icant deal with this heat anymore.  Our A/C has been crapping out on us and we're in desperate need of a new one, preferably a split unit.  It would be bearable if it were winter because the temperatures would be a little cooler (but not by much - this is Guam, remember) but because it's summer I'm practically melting!  Too bad I can't afford it right now because of all the bills I need to pay and the fact that I am incapable of saving money.  On the plus side, I'm losing a little weight from all the sweating!

#icant believe it's already been two weeks since Trace's accident.  He's healing tremendously and hopefully in two more weeks' time, he'll be completely back to normal.  This is not just a relief for him, it's also a great relief for us!  Do you know how hard it is to eat a meal when he can't?  Joey and I have to take turns occupying Trace so that the other can eat.  We haven't even cooked a real meal since it happened because we don't want him to smell the food cooking and be disappointed that he isn't allowed to eat it.  We've been stuffing him full of soups, mashed potatoes, yogurt, etc. but it's not the same as eating a steak or fried chicken or a bag of chips.  Hopefully we'll all be able to eat a real meal soon.  I'm starving!

#iknowican clear out more clutter!  I cleaned and rearranged my bedroom last Sunday and it looks so much better and more open than it was before.  I gave a bag of clothes away to my friend's younger sister and I'll be going through my closet and all my clothes again tonight to start getting rid of more.  We're even planning on selling stuff at the flea market tomorrow.  Hopefully I can make a few bucks to put towards the new A/C!

#iknowican get some down time this weekend.  I feel like I've been running around like a headless chicken all week and I really REALLY need to relax before I burn myself out.  I think a beach day is in order.

#iknowican put a planner together.  With everything going on and all the separate planners and calendars I have, I need to find a way to mesh everything together and keep it all in one place.  Blogging, holidays, social events, work deadlines, appointments, etc.  I'm going to pull sections and ideas from different planners and make it work for me.

#iknowican create a workout plan as well.  I started with Fabletics last month so I really need to make that $50/month for workout clothes worth it!  I could really use some motivational help though.  Anyone want to be my long-distance workout buddy?

#iknowican start putting together some patterns and samples of suits this weekend.  Since I cleaned last Sunday, I was able to clear off my sewing table and now it's just itching for me to get to work!  And since the flea market is right up the street from the fabric store, I'll be able to swing by and get some material tomorrow!  Excited!!

  5. I'm so envious that you have a fabric store nearby. There is a fabric store in my area, but it's like 2 cities over, and I don't like to have my brother drive me all the way out there, unless he is going in that direction. And yay for getting rid of excess stuff. That's always the first step with me. Getting rid of stuff that you no longer need, and then buying stuff you need to start something new! :)

  6. I am so with you on budgeting (or lack thereof) - I know I should do it but lots of things require all my extra money and giving in is way more fun than saving up! My summer is zooming by, too. What is it about this time of year that makes time fly?
