My 2015 Game Plan + The 10th Day of Giveaways!

Finally, a post going up when it should!  I'm still at home but the swelling has gone down a lot so I'm anticipating it'll be back to normal by tomorrow.  Yay!

Anyway, I decided I'd better get this post up early so that I (a) don't forget about it; and (b) can get started on cleaning and rearranging things around here so we can start clean and fresh in 2015.  Just 2 more days!  YIKES.

I'll probably do the whole thoughtful look back on 2014 thing tomorrow, but really, with all the chaos and craziness lately I kind of just want to get the year over with already!  I'm so ready to take on the new year!  Bring it, bitch!  Haha.

I've always been the resolution maker and breaker type of person.  Always putting a huge list of things together, losing motivation along the way and then just giving up on everything eventually.  I'm hoping for a change in the cycle in 2015.  I've decided to break down my year into 3 parts:  Start, Progress and Thrive.

START.  It means exactly that.  The first four months of the year is when I plan to start making changes and trying new things.  Picking up good habits, working out, budgeting, learning new skills and experimenting with things I've always wanted to try (like art journaling).

PROGRESS.  Usually after four months (or less than that) I start losing motivation and sink back into my regular routine.  I need to continue to progress with the changes I plan to make and not slack off because I know that it'll just make the first four months of the year a waste of time.  I'll use this four-month mark to challenge myself even more and push forward to become even better and what I'm doing.

THRIVE.  The last third of the year is when I hope to be comfortable enough to continue with my changes without stressing out about it.  I hope to be able to power through a workout without griping about it, to have a tidy house without being overwhelmed, to have the drive and discipline to start and complete a project and to be able to take a break from everything and enjoy my life without worrying about what might happen if I don't do everything perfectly.

  2. I'm one of those people who will try to stay motivated throughout the year. I'm hoping to lose at least 20 more pounds during 2015! :)

  3. What a great set of giveaways!!!!! These sound like great goals because they are life-changing and also realistic. Definitely need/want to start something, and then definitely NEED to keep up with it and not beat yourself if it doesn't go as planned. Just pick yourself up and try again. I'm going to start working out regularly in the new year too.

  4. I tend to do that as well! Always starting out strong, then my birthday happens in June and I get too comfortable for awhile, then fall happens and I'm like, holy crap I better start getting some stuff accomplished!
