Sunday Sweats 2016: Vol. 1

I know I'm a little late to post this, but it's about time I do one of these to help keep me on track with my fitness goals.  Truth is, I've been a little - okay, a LOT - lazy during the past few months.  Work has been extremely hectic lately, to the point where I've been working weekends and by the time I get home, all I do is eat dinner and pass out.  Joey's been really great about it, letting me sleep early while he gets the kids ready for bed.  Also, since December I've been having some really bad migraines on and off, to the point where I can't do anything at all because my head hurts so bad and it makes me nauseous.  Because of all that, I haven't really mustered up the motivation to do much as far as workouts go.

Now that February is in full swing, I figure I'd better get my ass moving and work on something - anything - to get me healthy and fit again.  I bought a couple fitness toys last month (5lb. kettle bell, new jump rope) that I've been using on and off, but I need to put an actual plan and routine down so I don't lose focus and get distracted as much.  I also want to start running again and now that the holidays are over and the weather has been pretty decent (hope I didn't just jinx it) I think it's a good time to hit the pavement.

My goals for this week are pretty simple:

1.  Run at least twice.
2.  Do at least 10 minutes of cardio each day.
3.  At least a 10 minute yoga routine each day.
4.  Drink more water.
5.  Take my vitamins (B-2) to help with my migraines.

That's about it.  Just gonna try to keep up with myself, continue controlling my portions when eating, and try to keep these migraines at bay.

What about you?

  4. a workout plan is a must for me if i'm not at the muay thai studio. i used to always hit the weights with a plan and that's how i prevented myself from getting distracted.
